This product is specifically designed for the characterization of gastrointestinal stromal tumors. It is composed of genes whose alterations determine a patient's suitability for certain molecular therapies. It includes analysis of mutations in c-KIT (exons 8, 9, 11, 13, 14, 17) and PDGFR (exons 12, 18). The sample must be a surgical specimen of the tumor in an FFPE block. The blocks sent are returned to the center of origin once the test is complete.
