Collection: tellmeGen
TellmeGen employs advanced technologies for comprehensive and accurate genetic analysis. Its microarray chips utilize the Illumina platform, analyzing over 750,000 genetic markers. For whole-genome sequencing (WGS), it examines up to 3 billion variants. All analyses are performed in a laboratory certified to ISO 17025, ISO 13485, GLP, GCP, and cGMP standards, guaranteeing excellence, reliability, and compliance with international standards.
The results are divided into 5 sections based on the type of information they provide: 1) Complex diseases: Genetics and the environment play a significant role in the development of certain diseases. TellmeGen can estimate your genetic risk of developing these types of diseases so you can prevent, avoid, or reduce your risk. (e.g., Alzheimer's, Diabetes, Cancer, etc.). 2) Drug compatibility: The most comprehensive information related to this field is offered, including the efficacy, dosage, and adverse effects of different drugs. According to the FDA, approximately 21% of drug prescriptions are affected by pharmacogenetics and must be modified. (e.g., Ibuprofen, Antidepressants, etc.). 3) Monogenic hereditary diseases: The diagnosis of more than 80 monogenic diseases is performed, allowing you to detect if you are a carrier of any of them and avoid passing them on to your offspring. (e.g., Hemophilia A, Cystic Fibrosis, etc.). 4) Personal Traits and Wellness: This service analyzes a wealth of information about personal traits, both external and internal, including data related to well-being (e.g., eye clarity, nicotine dependence, vitamin levels, muscle performance, etc.). 5) Ancestry: This service estimates the percentage of DNA from different regions of the world, as well as maternal and paternal haplogroups and the percentage of Neanderthal DNA. 6) DNA Connect: This service connects users with genetic relatives within the tellmeGen database.
