"OncoCell® is a liquid biopsy (molecular analysis) performed on blood samples for the detection of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in patients with or suspected of having cancer, using the RT q-PCR technique.
The OncoCell® study is completely safe, requires only a blood sample, is low risk, and has the ability to be repeated compared to other methods that use tissue biopsies and require surgical intervention.
The OncoCell® assay allows for the quantification of specific biomarkers of circulating tumor cells (a characteristic indication of metastasis) using patient outcomes as a reference.
