Life Length offers a diagnostic telomere measurement test with a unique technology. Our HealthTAV® (Telomere Analysis Technology) assay is the most accurate indicator of cellular aging, with a wide variety of applications aimed at preventing age-related diseases.
Telomere length is a crucial biomarker for understanding organism aging, as its shortening contributes to the development of diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, neurodegenerative diseases, diabetes, and infertility.
HealthTAV® provides an accurate, reproducible, and reliable measurement of the entire telomere length distribution in each sample, including percentages, frequencies, means, and/or medians. It is the only test capable of identifying the percentage of critically short telomeres. This is very important, as it is the subset of short telomeres, rather than the average telomere length, that has been shown to be critical in causing cells to enter senescence.
The sample must arrive at our laboratory in Madrid within the first 48 hours of collection. The test includes an optional online questionnaire, which will make the results more personalized. This laboratory was founded using technology pioneered at the Spanish National Cancer Research Center.
