A characteristic alteration of Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia (present in more than 90% of cases). Generally characterized by the t(15;17) translocation that generates the PML::RARA fusion gene. Depending on the breakpoint in PML, different transcripts are distinguished, the most frequent being bcr1, bcr2, and bcr3. Treatment with ATRA and ATO.
